In het R.K doopregister van Nuth wordt in kerklatijn vermeld dat op 17 februari 1682 gedoopt is "de in ontucht verwekte dochter van de adellijke Josephus van Hartsleber, de ontuchtpleger, en Catharina Beckers, de ontuchtpleegster, genaamd Cecilia". [Bron: A.S.M. (Funs) Patelski - "Cecilia van Hartzleben (1682-1735) Voorouders en nazaten van een adellijke bastaard" - in het Limburgs Tijdschrift voor Genealogie, jaargang 42, pag. 78- 92, 2014.] Cecilia was lam, staat in een testament van haar moeder.
